About Me

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm Brandee Sheldrake.  Commercial Interior Designer by day, crafter and scrapbooker by night.

I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska and went to college in Texas and Michigan.  I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2003 with a degree in Interior Design and was really fortunate to get a job in my field as a designer for a pharmaceuticals company.  I’m someone that loves color and creativity and my new job left me wanting more…there isn’t much excitement in the pharmaceuticals industry!  I needed more money to pay for my student loans and wanted more pizzazz!  At my sister’s suggestion, I became a Pampered Chef consultant to help make ends meet. One afternoon I was having coffee with my upline and afterwards I walked into a little scrapbook shop next door.  I was hooked from then on.  All my Pampered Chef earnings started being re-routed to that scrapbook store!  I loved being able to honor my cherished memories and get my pictures out of boxes and into albums.

Not long after that, I took an inventory of my life and decided to move back to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to my family.  I got a new job in Portland, Oregon and made the big move.  I had my last Pampered Chef show in the fall of 2004 and sold a few items to several people I worked with at my new job, including a nice guy in the cubicle next to mine. Six years later I married him.

I think scrapbooking becomes a lifestyle and it’s something I’m very passionate for but there have been periods in my life where I have focused my attention on my other passions. The early years I lived in Portland I focused on friendships and my relationship and didn’t do as much crafting.  Because falling in love is time consuming!

When my husband, Erik, and I were planning our wedding, I did most of the paper goods for our wedding and I rediscovered my passion for paper crafts.  After our wedding, I had a lot of photos from our wedding, honeymoon and all the festivities associated with this exciting time in our lives and I jumped back in with a restored gusto and passion.  Boy how the industry had changed since I had first started!

In early 2012, I was introduced to the Close to My Heart product line and fell in love.  It had crossed my mind on more than one occasion that perhaps there was a consultant opportunity for me with a paper crafts company but until I discovered the Close to My Heart line, I had politely passed.  My days as a consultant with Pampered Chef were so positive and I was so pleased with the quality and variety of Close to My Heart products that in March 2012, I became a consultant and hit the ground running.

I hope you’ll join me someday at one of the card classes I teach, host a home gathering of your own, find something inspiring here to get you creating or become part of my team as a consultant! I look forward to creating with you!

Happy Crafting!
